DESIGN PROCESS
Feasibility Study and Concept Development
In this stage we will get a feel for the project and what is required. Set specific goals and objectives. We will develop initial routing plans and an estimated course construction budget.
Objectives:
  • Site visit and feasibility study.
  • Initial budget analysis.
  • Develop preliminary routing studies.
  • Work with project land planners and develop a final routing study with preliminary strategy.
  • Analyze budget based on final routing and concept plan.
Documentation Development
Objectives:
  • Provide drawings for golf course construction.
  • Provide construction specifications and bid documents.
  • Identify a list of golf course constructors.
  • Advise during the bid and tendering process.
  • Recommend other consultants as needed for the golf course construction.
Construction and Execution
During the construction phase we will ensure proper execution of the client's vision. The Ross Golf Design team will work closely with the construction team to ensure the course follows the design documents and quality control.
Objectives:
  • Observe quality control during the golf construction process.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to review the progress of construction.
  • Provide subjective review of the golf course shaping features to ensure consistency with our design philosophy.
  • Provide input during the grow-in process including visits to outline fairway lines and roughs including bunker sand lines.
